Is Your Child Ready for Potty Training?
Many parents are looking for the best way to potty train their children and say goodbye to stinky diapers. Potty training is the process of weaning a young child off diapers and training the child to use the toilet for urination and defecation.
Being free from the stinky diapers must be great. But how do we know that our child is ready for this? Here are some signs to help you recognize that your child is ready for potty training:
1. Your child knows words for urine, stool, and toilet
2. Your child is bothered by feeling wet or soiled
3. Your child start to shows interest in using the potty. He or she’s open to sitting on it or curious about bathrooms
4. Your child has an awareness of when he’s about to urinate or have a bowel movement
5. Your child may say "poop" and "pee-pee," show some desire to be changed
6. Your child be enchanted by the potty
But you can also guessing whether your child is ready or not. If he or she is not ready yet, then you can simply try again later after a few weeks or months.
